Overview
Position Staff Specialist Anaesthetist for a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team. Excellent remuneration in excess of $450k dependent on level. This is your chance to combine lifestyle with working in a large tertiary hospital.
Location and Hospital
The location offers a Mediterranean climate and a relaxed lifestyle with excellent facilities. Opportunities to pursue private practice at the hospital are also available. Sub-specialty interests can be facilitated (e.g., chronic pain, ICU).
Hospital: This is a tertiary teaching hospital that provides a range of Acute Services including Emergency, Maternity, Intensive Care, General Medicine and Surgery, Medical Imaging, Pathology, Dialysis, Mental Health (Inpatient and community services) and a range of Ambulatory Services. The Hospital is affiliated with Universities for undergraduate and postgraduate medical, nursing and allied health education, with affiliations also existing for clinical placement and training.
Location: Set on the banks of the Murray River, an hour's flight from cosmopolitan Melbourne, with direct flights to a number of metropolitan cities. The area is known for its big skies and rich earth, offering a Mediterranean climate and a relaxed lifestyle. Suited to families, there are many high performing public and private schools, and access to local wine and produce.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist-level anaesthetic services within a multi-disciplinary team of medical officers and nursing staff.
* Foster relationships with colleagues and other hospital specialists; provide clinical leadership, supervision and teaching of junior medical staff.
* Participate actively in audits, clinical meetings and safety activities.
Requirements/Qualifications
* Fellowship (FANZCA) or be eligible in the next 6 months. Substantially comparable ANZCA requiring peer review. International doctors looking to be assessed.
