Signs & Lines know signs … we love signs … we live and breathe signs – meaning your sign project is in safe hands. We are seeking a highly experienced SIGNWRITER to join our team of professionals on a full time and permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities
* Take a lead in the assembly and production output of the company producing signage to a high level of quality and professionalism.
* Interpret detailed shop drawings and/or specifications to understand job, material and equipment requirements to produce acrylic, 3D fabricated signage, digital prints, vinyl application, LED placement and LED lightboxes.
* Value engineer all works to maximise efficiency and reduce costs.
* Assemble and make signage elements incorporating all signage types and styles to high quality with speed and accuracy.
* Consistent production of dimensionally accurate signage elements through routine quality checks throughout the progress of production.
* Take a lead role in sign making problem solving and raising any issues with management.
* Maintain a high degree of attention to detail and follow company QMS requirements – complete relevant paperwork.
* Maintain sufficient stock levels of materials and consumables, ordering items well in advance of signage works.
* Ensure the assembly workshop and equipment is operating to safety standards, with high regard for risk and hazard management practices.
* Support and assist workflows in other areas of the business to keep production moving (may include site installation duties) Compliance to OH&S and workplace/Worksafe safety issues.
* Team player who offers assistance to colleagues and guidance to younger members of the team.
* Good communicator – keeps all members of team in loop with progress & problems.
* Independent and resourceful – solution (not problem) orientated.
* Site works if required. To be able to solve problems on site and plan work on site to be done efficiently.
* Any other reasonable duties.
