Organization:
Calvary Mater – Affiliated Health Organisation providing services to both public and private patients primarily from the Hunter New England area. Services include Coronary Care, Cardiology, Surgery, Intensive Care, General Medicine, Research and 24/7 Emergency Care.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic advice and leadership in the provision of Health Information Services
Ensure orderly and secure storage of patient information
Ensure access to patient information for continuum of care
Manage the release of information within statutory guidelines
Provide management support for Activity Based Management (ABM)
Lead the Clinical Coding Unit and the Clinical Information Department
Provide strategic oversight to patient services administration streams
Qualifications
Degree in Health Information Management, or equivalent experience
Sound knowledge and experience in evaluating and establishing standards of Health Record Services and experience working in health information in a Hospital setting
Demonstrated experience in applying data collection rules for admitted and non-admitted patient data and provision of advice and analysis reports in an ABM model
Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and managing multiple teams
Demonstrated experience in working with privacy legislation, release of information legislation/polices
