About the position
The role involves teaching academic subjects to students from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, using a variety of teaching methods including lectures, workshops, laboratory sessions and tutorials. You will prepare and deliver engaging lessons and materials that meet the needs of diverse learners and assess their progress through formative and summative methods.
You will provide academic guidance and support to students to help them succeed in their studies and adapt to university life. The role also involves administrative duties linked to teaching and assessment, as well as contributing to course development and attending staff meetings and training sessions.
To be successful, you'll need a recognised degree in a relevant subject and either a teaching qualification or at least two years of relevant teaching experience, ideally working with students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
