Our client is a well-known market leader in the manufacturing sector.
Due to growth, we're currently seeking an Account to join their team in this exciting role.
Within this role, you will support the CFO with finance and payroll functions across multiple entities to achieve company financial objectives.
The role
Prepare BAS for each entity on a monthly and / or quarterly basis as required, ensuring GST is correctly accounted for and reconciled to general ledger
Prepare and manage documentation for income tax, fringe benefit tax and superannuation obligations
Manage and oversee payroll functions including management of master file, identify any discrepancies, errors or omissions prior to management review and sign off, superannuation requirements, salary and wage declaration for workers compensation.
Maintain and manage financial records for superannuation funds and work with external accountants / auditors for annual reporting
Manage, record and monitor costs for all commercial properties and developments including invoicing, cost control, budgets and reporting.
Complete daily reconciliation and documentation for foreign currency / forward exchange contracts
Manage the financial documentation across all entities for audit and statutory reporting
What we're looking for
Qualification in Business, Accounting or Commerce
CA or CPA qualified or working towards
Experience in audit and / or taxation
Minimum 5 years experience in accounting roles
Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and key principals
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience across accounting tasks
Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to task demands
High attention to detail
High level ability to problem solve
