Set high in the suburb of Belrose, Glenaeon is a vibrant retirement village with panoramic views of the ocean and acres of native bushland, which offers quality amenities, friendly neighbours and a tranquil setting for our residents and their families. Glenaeon comprises both serviced apartments and independent living units (not residential aged care).
Our friendly team at Glenaeon is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Bus Driver to join their team on a part time basis .
Reporting to the Village Manager, duties will include:
o Providing safe transportation of our residents to local shopping centres and return them safely back to the village.
o Provide safe transportation to other outings such as monthly 10-pin bowling and bi-monthly theatre trips into the city.
o Perform other ad-hoc duties as required, i.e., taking the vehicle for servicing and maintenance checks.
o Providing exceptional customer service to our residents.
o Uphold Keyton's commitment to safety and excellence in service.
Shifts
The successful candidates will be required to work Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30pm to 3:30pm approximately. There will be additional shifts each month on Wednesdays and Fridays to cater for special outings. People with the flexibility to work varied shifts throughout the week are encouraged to apply.
Who You Are
As you will be working alongside our many residents, a customer-service focus is essential, as will:
o Having a Light Rigid Drivers Licence (or above).
o Experience driving a bus/people mover.
o Experience working with seniors, and the awareness of mobility/health and safety issues that may occur, highly desirable.
o Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
o Being team-focused, with willingness to perform other ad-hoc duties when required.
o The ability to identify when bus requires maintenance.
o The ability to complete basic bus maintenance tasks and servicing as required.
o Having a genuine interest in assisting our residents.
Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
