Khan International Pty Ltd T/A Curry Express Biggera Waters are looking for a Full Time Chef.

Candidate must have:

* 1-2 years previous experience as a chef.
* Be able to work within a team to continue to meet the high standards expected, excellent communication.
* Relevant qualification of industry skills or proven experience.
* Strong management and planning skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Passion for food and producing high quality dishes.
* Driven to achieve high standard and efficient service.

Duties:

* Develop new and innovative menus, recipe cards and preparation charts, taking into consideration local requirements, market needs, competition, trends, recipes, product costs and availability of products.
* Ensure the presentation and cleanliness of the kitchen is maintained to a high standard.
* Cook different food on the menu.
* Cook special meals.
* Check all kitchen deliveries and create purchase orders to match all invoices received for kitchen supplies.
* Ensure regular and concise food stock takes are conducted and any discrepancies are investigated.
* Delegate tasks, direct and supervise kitchen staff to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.
* Train and develop staff to increase their skills and knowledge in food preparation and presentation.
* Report and document all incidents/accidents as per procedures.
* Practice and promote policies and procedures related to fire, occupational health and safety, security and food hygiene standards.
* Development of kitchen staff rostering.
* Correctly train new staff to ensure their operational effectiveness.
* Ensuring WHS and OH&S is adhered to and maintained.
