**About the team**

Across our key functions of supplier relationship management, governance and controls we drive transformative initiatives in collaboration & performance management, commercial standardisation and risk management for all of the Sydney Metro Projects.
**The opportunity**
We have an opportunity for 2 x Deputy Executive Directors Commercial (Delivery) to join Australia's biggest public transport infrastructure program, reshaping transport solutions and making a genuine difference for the people of NSW.
The first Deputy Executive Director Commercial role will focus on the Western Sydney Airport portfolio. It is a 4 year fixed term.
The second Deputy Executive Director Commercial role will focus on the Metro West portfolio promarily involved in the tunnelling packages and all brownfields work. This is a 3 year fixed term opportunity.
Both of these roles are accountable for commercial activities during construction of major high value project delivery contracts associated with the infrastructure, building, systems and services of one or more Sydney Metro projects. Each project may comprise multiple major delivery contracts ranging in value from under $100 million to multi-billion dollars, in various contract forms including Public Private Partnerships, Design and Construct, and various forms of collaborative contract. The role also includes the management of contractors and service providers, providing commercial and financial management during delivery and operations phases.
The roles lead the commercial activities across the project and provides management, leadership, professional and high-level technical guidance and commercial and contract advice, ensuring compliance with government guidelines, policy and industry best practice.
As a Deputy Executive Director you will be tasked with providing a high level of professional guidance in the development, implementation and continued monitoring of the organisation's commercial activities to achieve agreed objectives and best practice, consistency and efficiency. You'll direct and manage commercially based control initiatives that are integrated with functional groups and teams.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience leading people and driving commercial outcomes on complex, multi-contract infrastructure projects. It's essential that you are familiar with managing and directing corporate, business wide commercial requirements (both strategic and transactional) to drive consistency, value for money and optimise business outcomes.
We're interested in your experience in establishing and driving robust Commercial governance, compliance, control and appropriate controls systems to manage and report risks and opportunities.
As a strong all-rounder with large scale delivery and general contracting experience, you'll have proven communication and stakeholder management skills and will be accustomed to developing trusted and productive internal and external business relationships. Ideally, you'll have experience with industry, supply chain, supplier relationship and market development initiatives coupled with tertiary qualifications, preferably chartered status.
You must have extensive experience of Contract Administration including resolution of contract disputes and robust post contract management.
