About the Role
Our client, a leading Government organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager (ICT) to lead the planning and delivery of technology projects. You'll oversee complex initiatives involving new and enhanced enterprise applications across HR/Payroll, Rostering, and Finance systems, driving delivery excellence through structured methodologies and strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the planning, definition, and successful completion of complex ICT projects.
* Oversee project governance, reporting, and quality assurance to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
* Lead multidisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration and capability development.
* Drive effective communication and stakeholder engagement across internal and external groups.
* Develop business cases, PRINCE2 artefacts, and documentation to support funding and project approvals.
* Mentor and coach team members while promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
* Apply structured project management, risk management, and benefits realisation frameworks to ensure successful outcomes.
Skills and Experience
* 7–10 years' experience managing large-scale ICT projects, ideally within HR/Payroll, Rostering, or Finance systems.
* Proven experience delivering complex projects in government or healthcare environments.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate across all levels.
* Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary and vendor teams.
* Expertise in project methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, ITIL, or SAP Activate.
* Experience developing business cases, project plans, and governance documentation.
