Our AMP team: We are a national team that has traditionally delivered consulting work in strategic planning, master planning, detailed planning, business cases, and all aspects of asset management services involving water and sewer networks, pumping stations, conveyance, and other water infrastructure. Our clients include Urban Utilities, TasWater, Coliban Water, Melbourne Water, SA Water, and various other local and national clients. We have an impressive backlog of work, providing a stable platform and the ability to be reasonably selective with tendering opportunities.
The Opportunity: Team Manager for Sunshine Coast and Sydney: Reporting to the Water Section Executive, Asset Management & Planning, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Sunshine Coast and Sydney-based AMP consultants. You will play a critical role in client engagement and business development to nurture the pipeline of work for the AMP team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing team utilisation, project governance, and financial performance
2. Driving business development and preparing tenders aligned to AMP services
3. Supporting and mentoring team members, promoting wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion
4. Translating strategic plans into actionable delivery plans for the Queensland water market
5. Representing WSP at industry events and contributing to thought leadership
6. Maintaining a minimum 60% billability on project work

* Experience in commercial aspects of projects in a consulting environment
* Experience in infrastructure planning and/or detailed planning of water, recycled water, and sewerage infrastructure

* Proven ability to interpret strategic plans into actionable plans and achieve them
* Track record of winning work in this market sector
* Experience in dealing with and solving client issues relating to projects and teams
