From our very inception in 1976 by Margo and Tom Hartley, Hilton Manufacturing (Hilton) has set the highest of standards in precision engineering and manufacturing quality.
Hilton remains a family owned and run business and has built on our founders' vision, now operating from two modern manufacturing facilities, our main Headquarters and manufacturing plant in the South-East of Melbourne, located in Dandenong South Victoria, with over 20,000 sqm of under roof engineering, development, and manufacturing facilities. And our northern manufacturing facility of 4,000 sqm in the Southern-West region of Brisbane, located in Wacol Queensland.
Hilton supplies components, sub-assemblies and final products across a diverse range of industries. Our experience and expertise in all aspects of sheet metal manufacturing including the rolling, forming, bending, pressing, folding, CNC router, machining, welding and polishing of aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel.

We are seeking a Toolmaker for the manufacture of in-house/fit for function Press tools, jigs, fixtures, and one-off components.
Ideal candidates should be fully conversant with all manual toolroom machinery, and engineering drawings.
Excellent communication skills are vital as is the ability to work with minimum supervision. A commitment to safety and OH&S standards is paramount.

Key Accountabilities
* Toolmaker required for in-house Press tools, Jigs, Fixtures, gauges and one off/prototype components
* Must be familiar with Lathes and Mills.
* Experience in accurately reading engineering drawings.
* Ability to work well under pressure as part of team.
* Able to think outside the box and be innovative and solution focused.
* Liaise with internal departments.
* Ensure Safety and OH&S standards are implemented, maintained, and improved
Qualifications and Experience
* Experienced in Press Tool manufacture/maintenance & Jigs and fixtures.
* Minimum 1-2 years of toolmaking experience is required.
* Excellent communication skills - Written, verbal & Interpersonal Skills
* A positive attitude to learning and a strong work ethic
* Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace
* Welding experience - (Desirable)
* Forklift License – (Desirable)
A completed toolmaking apprenticeship, trade qualification, or equivalent experience is required.
