This position is perfect for someone wanting to develop their career in agriculture.You'll bring a passion for animals and an eagerness to gain knowledge in livestock production while working alongside experienced farm staff, learning all aspects of pig care, livestock production, and animal welfare, with the chance to engage in transparent development opportunities.Reporting to the Farm Production Manager, this role is based on one of our farms located close to Wasleys, South Australia.

Become a part of a knowledgeable farm teamAbout the RoleAs the next passion driven member of our team, your responsibilities will be:Feed, monitor and care for pigs to ensure top-notch animal health and welfareCarry out health checks, administer treatments and follow vaccination programs as advisedAssist with the farrowing (birthing), weaning and rearing of livestockMaintain clean pens, equipment and facilities to the highest standardsRecord animal health and production data accuratelyLearn and apply biosecurity and safety practicesAbout YouOur ideal candidate will have:1-2 years of experience as a farm hand within a piggery or similar role (preferred, not essential)Passion for animal welfare and agricultureA positive can-do attitude paired with a keenness to learn, develop and progress within the companyAvailability to work weekends and public holidays when neededPhysical fitness and comfortable with hands-on farm workSunPork Group is an equal opportunity employer.
