Functions & Events Officer – Mildura Sporting Precinct
We're currently searching for an engaging and enthusiastic Functions & Events Officer to join our organisation at the Mildura Sporting Precinct in a temporary part time capacity up to and including 22 February ****.
Position Details
Part-time, temporary
Job Number: R****
Applications close: 4 pm, Thursday 4 December ****
Workload: 96 hours within a four-week cycle.
May work outside normal office hours.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and manage events at the Mildura Sporting Precinct to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
Support the promotion and coordination of facility bookings, focusing on increasing usage and identifying business opportunities, especially during off-peak times.
Qualifications
Formal tertiary qualification in events management or a business-related discipline and/or significant experience in events management or related field.
Demonstrated experience with a range of software packages including the Microsoft Office suite.
High-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders on the telephone and face to face.
Good knowledge of the local community.
Strong customer-service skills.
Current satisfactory Police Check or willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one within two months of commencement.
Current satisfactory Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.
Valid Driver's Licence.
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $***** per hour plus statutory superannuation.
