GAWS are seeking a Fundraising & Community Engagement Coordinator to join the marketing and fundraising team.

About the Role
You will be supporting the marketing team to build meaningful relationships with local communities, maintain donor databases, track fundraising progress, support organising events, and contribute to fundraising campaigns that support our mission.
Key Responsibilities that Support the Marketing and Fundraising will include:
* Supporting the Marketing and Communications Manager/s in their duties
* Support in the preparation of content for marketing campaigns, social campaigns, newsletters, website and events, etc
* Supporting the team to connect and liaise with local partners and organisations to collaborate
* Support managing events, stalls
* Provide customer service to the local community who attend our events
* Support GAWS projects and campaigns
* Support the maintenance of the GAWS website, social media accounts and other channels where content exists.
* Support maintaining administration of donation box program and GAWS PenPal program
* Assisting the team with fundraising initiatives in the local community
* Handling of fundraising money and donations
* Ability to share ideas and innovations with the team
This is a casual position with remuneration in-line with the Clerks award and your qualifications, skills and experience.
About You
GAWS are seeking applications from candidates with a can do attitude, experience in marketing or events and who have a passion for animal welfare.
You will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload in a fast passed environment and work well within a positive team.
Given the nature of the work you may need to work across challenging situations which require empathy, compassion and commitment to compliance and regulations.
You will need excellent communication skills and have a strong customer service ethic.
The Musts
* Strong team focus and able to work independently
* Good working knowledge of all Microsoft applications
* Excellent communication skills
* Candidates with a marketing/events background will be highly regarded
* Police Check or willing to obtain
* Australia Drivers Licence
