About the role
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for clients facing mental health challenges, behaviours of concern, and high medical needs
Assist with personal care tasks (e.g. bathing, dressing) and manual handling
Advocate for client choice while ensuring safety and compliance
Support clients during respite stays, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
Log daily care and changes in needs to ensure informed, coordinated support
Flexible and available to pick up shifts on short notice. Sleepovers are
essential
Skills & Experience
Resilience and confidence in managing complex situations
An unrestricted Recent South Wales driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Workers Check.
Pay rates starting from $43.23 (casual) as per the SCHADS Award
