ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Finance, Audit & Risk Management (FARM) committee plays a significant role in advising the Board and ensuring it receives strong oversight, assessment of risk, and assurance of financial viability. This appointment reflects our enduring commitment to strong governance and independent oversight.
As an Independent Member, you will have deep experience and bring high-level expertise in finance and risk, helping CHF continue to apply diligence and financial stewardship. You would be responsible for helping to guide the organisation towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies.
This is a voluntary position and is not remunerated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Meet all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements for reporting and disclosure
* Establish and maintain internal controls over all reporting through appropriate policies and procedures
* Identify and manage financial risks, and ensures such risks are acceptable to the Board
* Implement strategic devices to support and increase the organisation’s maturity in relation to risk management.
* Strive for continuous financial and compliance-related improvement
TIME COMMITMENT
* Approximately 25 hours annually.
* Review and respond to committee materials and correspondence between meetings.
ELIGIBILITY
* Applicants who have significant experience in finance, audit, risk management, or related fields are welcome to apply. Ideally as an Independent Member, you will either be a Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant.
APPOINTMENT AND REPORTING
* The Independent Member will be appointed in accordance with the CHF’s Independent Member to a Committee process.
* Appointment is on a voluntary basis, 3 years duration.
