What will you do?
Join the Advanced Innovation (AI) Stream - one of Cochlear's R&D teams developing new technologies for the future of hearing implants. Work in the early exploration phase of R&D, where we try to push the boundaries and sometimes "fail" in the process of learning what is possible.
There are 5 separate teams within AI, each with their own specialisation.
As a Summer Student Intern, you could:
* Join the 3AC team and analyse a dataset from a research study to discover the key learnings, or use machine learning approaches to design and test algorithms for cochlear implant systems and clinical care OR
* Join the Implants Science team and test new materials or designs for implanted medical devices OR
* Join the Surgery and Electrodes team and work with a surgical robotic arm or new electrode designs in human cadaveric temporal bones OR
* Join Incubation Operations and work in a fast‐paced start‐up environment on a new epilepsy monitoring implant OR
* Join Biosciences and work on gene therapy to improve CI outcomes, or new ways to deliver drugs to the cochlear
Most suitable academic disciplines for the Advanced Innovation stream are: Data Science (Statistics and Machine Learning), Electrical/Biomedical Engineering (signal processing), Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or Material Science
