Position: Physiotherapist – Part time Aged care
Location: Port Mcquarie Region
Client Demographic: Aged‐care residents (predominantly older adults in residential/community aged‐care settings)
Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years preferred
Role Overview
We're seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist who's excited about making a difference in the lives of older adults. In this role you'll deliver evidence‐based physiotherapy interventions in aged‐care settings, working to maintain and improve mobility, strength, balance and functional independence of clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, plan and implement physiotherapy programs for older adults in residential/community aged‐care
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, occupational therapy and podiatry
* Monitor client progress and adapt interventions accordingly
* Promote best‐practice aged‐care therapy and support accreditation requirements
* Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current General AHPRA registration
* At least 2 years' relevant experience—preferably in aged care or allied health settings
* Hold Full working rights Visa
* Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal aptitude and a genuine interest in elderly wellbeing
* Willingness to work 2 days in a week on the above mentioned locations, and uphold high standards of therapy service delivery
