End date: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
Hours: Full‐time (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Canberra – Fairbairn Campus
Section: Pharmacist Evaluation Section, Prescription Medicines Authorisation Branch
Domestic travel required: No
Eligibility Requirements
* Australian citizenship is essential
* Current registration as a practising pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Duties of the Position
* Evaluate and finalise a variety of minor variation applications for prescription medicines with high accuracy under the supervision of a delegate.
* Work effectively as a team member within a pool, demonstrating flexibility and innovation to overcome obstacles.
* Liaise and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to solve issues relating to prescription medicines and minor variation submissions.
* Act as a resource within the branch as a subject‐matter expert for legislative and clinical advice.
* Contribute to a positive culture within the branch.
* Contribute to strategic planning for the Section by facilitating business and operational process improvements.
* Perform administrative tasks as required for the Section and other Medical Officer delegates.
* Participate as an active member of the Trade Name team.
* Other duties as requested by the supervisor, Director, Assistant Secretary, or Executive.

Desirable
* Experience in, or the ability to understand, the regulation of therapeutic goods in Australia.
