Primary objective
Provide advice and information to management, other government agencies, developers, and the public regarding the
administration of Crown land. Assist and support the efficient delivery of Crown Land Transaction projects including leasing,
licensing, sale and acquisition of Crown land and administration of projects relating to native title, Aboriginal Land claims
and community living areas.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Assist with the efficient delivery of Crown Land projects, in accordance with relevant legislation and government
policies.
2. Prepare Land Titles Office, contractual and other project documentation to facilitate the administration of Crown land
and projects relating to native title, Aboriginal Land claims and community living areas.
3. Maintain project management databases relating to Crown Land projects including relevant records in the Integrated
Land Information System (ILIS).
4. Provide advice and information to management, stakeholders, and the public on matters relevant to Crown land and
related land administration matters.
5. Monitor and provide advice on compliance with Crown leases, licenses, and other land related agreements.
6. Prepare Chief Executive, Ministerial correspondence, and briefings in relation to Crown land and related land
administration matters.
7. Ensure a high level of client focus on accordance with the Department's Customer Service Charter.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated ability to provide advice and information to management, stakeholders and the public including the ability
to interpret policy and legislation and provide advice based upon this interpretation.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with private and public sectors on commercial and
sensitive issues and maintain strong working relationships.
3. Good organisation, project management and time management skills including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines
and work effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment.
4. Demonstrated competence in the use of systems including word processing, database, record management and
spreadsheet software packages, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
Desirable
1. Experience working within a land administration or land development environment, including knowledge of related
legislative and policy frameworks.
2. Qualifications in a relevant field such as conveyancing, land administration, law, or contract management.
