Primary objective
Provide high level leadership, management, direction and advice in relation to delivering workforce development services,
building workforce capability and capacity and supporting workforce planning, development and capability enhancement
activities across the NT Public Sector.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Lead a team to develop and deliver accurate, quality and timely client focused enterprise workforce reporting and

analytics.
2. Contribute to strategic thinking and development of innovative directions in workforce analytics and reporting with a

focus on simplification, improvement and enterprise alignment.
3. Provide quality advice and support by understanding and translating stakeholder requirements with reporting, systems

and information.
4. Influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve a coordinated approach to the delivery of workforce

metrics and analytics.
5. Lead stakeholder engagement and forward planning for workforce reporting solutions, ensuring processes meet agency

requirements and emerging workforce needs.
6. Guide data professionals in delivering workforce metrics, data quality uplift and improvement projects.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience in leading a high performing team to deliver strategic objectives in a similar diverse, fast paced and often

changing environment.
2. Proven conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and laterally at senior levels.
3. Demonstrated ability to influence and manage stakeholder engagement through exceptional communication and

interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative partnerships, manage client relationships and achieve high-level
service delivery across a wide range of NTPS clients and stakeholders.

4. Proven experience in generating meaningful insights from workforce data using HR business systems and workforce
reporting tools.

5. In-depth knowledge of the employment legislation, policy and procedures for reporting requirements, conditions of
service and Human Resource Management practices or the ability to quickly acquire.

6. High-level organisational and project skills with a client-focused approach to service delivery and demonstrated ability to
use initiative and meet competing priorities and timeframes.

Desirable
1. Workforce Development experience in a complex service delivery environment.
2. Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Management.
