BDS Mechanical are currently seeking HRT Mechanics / Heavy Road Transport Mechanics to join two major mining clients in WA. These are 2:1 FIFO or Metro rostered positions based in Western Australia offering ongoing work and genuine opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will possess the following:
* Relevant Australian recognised qualification
* Current drivers license
* Experience working on the relevant machinery in Heavy Road Transport or Mobile Plant
* Full Working Rights
* Basic tools
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Extra skills, experience, tickets and licences will be advantageous
Your duties will include:
* Perform diagnostics and inspections in accordance with the maintenance planning systems to ensure the machinery remains in top condition
* (This role) will be working mostly on either Road Transport Trucks and/or Trailers and / or small earth-moving mobile plant equipment – Where you are best suited to
* Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems
* Troubleshoot mechanical problems on a wide range of Machinery
* Keep data and records of all work completed
* Ensure safety is constantly being practice in the workspace
