About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing services within a diverse health service setting. This role provides the opportunity to develop your professional practice, progressing from a novice to a proficient practitioner as you consolidate your skills and knowledge. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, and taking accountability for both your own nursing practice and any activities delegated to others. The successful incumbent for this position must have the following skillset - complex wound management, procedural experience within the plastic/reconstructive surgery area, plastering and splint application, ability to think fast on your feet for rapid assessment and management of wounds and the ability to function within a very multidisciplinary team for best patient outcomes.
Working across various clinical areas, particularly within Outpatients and Ambulatory Care, you will be exposed to a range of specialised requirements, offering the chance to enhance your expertise in different healthcare settings. Continuous professional development is a key focus, enabling you to grow your capabilities through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship. About You
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse/Midwife who meets the following key criteria:
- Qualifications: Current registration with the Nursing Board of Australia and eligibility for a practising certificate.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage workloads.
- Experience: At least 1 year of post-registration experience, with competence in nursing practice according to relevant standards.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the role within a healthcare setting, relevant legislation, and quality improvement systems.
