Transport Operations Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our transport operations team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for operating a range of plant and equipment including backhoes, front end loaders, bobcats, excavators, trucks, rollers, tractors with associated implements.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of engineering infrastructure construction and maintenance techniques, as well as the ability to follow procedures and processes. They will work effectively with others, monitor and maintain a safe workplace, and be able to operate a variety of plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a range of plant and equipment including backhoes, front end loaders, bobcats, excavators, trucks, rollers, tractors with associated implements.
* Maintain a high level of safety awareness and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
* Work effectively with others to achieve team goals and objectives.
* Monitor and report on plant and equipment performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
Certification and Qualifications: A certificate III in civil construction, plant or similar OR at least two years experience in a relevant civil construction/maintenance or plant operation related field is highly desirable.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of engineering infrastructure construction and maintenance techniques, LR driver's license, WHS general induction for construction work, immunizations for Q fever, hepatitis A & B, tetanus, willingness to obtain these qualifications if not already held.
