This role is offered at a base salary of A$127,000.00 / yr to A$128,000.00 / yr. It is a part‑time (0.60 FTE) fixed‑term position until 30/06/2026 at Westmead.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate core clinical learning experiences for undergraduate students engaged in the Oral Health education programmes.
- Supervise oral‑health students in clinic and simulated clinic environments.
- Provide clinical education and mentorship to students in dental practice.
- Lead team‑teaching activities with other staff, contributing to calibration of casual and contracted teaching staff.
- Apply industry/clinical knowledge to inform teaching and learning practices.
- Assist in developing teaching and assessment materials following best practice, with support from senior clinicians or academic staff.
- Engage with professional learning opportunities at the faculty and university level.
About You
- Bachelor of Oral Health and postgraduate qualification (or working towards).
- Academic with extensive clinical skills and experience focused on Oral Health.
- Significant teaching experience in a tertiary education environment, evidenced by student coaching and skills development.
- Recent clinical expertise in oral‑health practice and proven ability to apply expertise to pedagogical practice (usually more than three years post an accredited health professional qualification).
- Experience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities.
- Demonstrated capacity to stimulate, actively engage and educate students in the provision of outstanding patient care.
- A network of relationships with key academic, clinical and skilled institutions, partners and stakeholders.
- Full accreditation as specialist/consultant with a specialist college and/or eligibility for registration in NSW as a health professional in the relevant discipline.
