Silverstrand is seeking a Site Engineer to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team. You will be based on our Brisbane to Gold Coast sites and employed on a permanent basis.
About the role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring that the project works are completed safely and in line with Silverstrand's and client's procedures
* Manage any required aspects of project related design and procurement.
* Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) with the Clients.
* Actively manage the engagement and delivery of works for suppliers, consultants and subcontractors in a schedule of rate and/or lump sum
environment.
* Manage contractor performance in accordance with agreed scope, budget, and schedule parameters.
* Engineering drawings/ specifications, budgets, and timeframes
* Ensuring compliance with Safety & site Environmental requirements
* Procurement of plant and materials
* Provision of technical advice to stakeholders and clients
* Provide engineering and technical advice to the project team
* Daily record keeping and input of daily data onto MS spreadsheets
Essential Skills and Experience
* Engineering degree or equivalent
* 1+ years' experience in an engineering capacity on civil infrastructure projects
* Experience with setting out works and height control using a total station
* Placement and control of concrete orders
* Thorough knowledge of Aus codes and standards
* Strong Communication and people Skills
* Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
* A good understanding of the Microsoft suite, in particular Excel and Word
* Experience in coordinating resources on site and programming of works
