We are on the look out for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our SA team looking after Adelaide.
The BDM will be servicing an existing on/off-premise customer base with the objective of maximising the performance of brand sales, portfolio profitability and brand equity. The prime focus is to sell and service our existing customer accounts as well as target new accounts that fit our portfolio offering.
Key Responsibilities Include
Plan, schedule and manage your selling time for maximum sales productivity.
Identify and evaluate customer needs through strong sales techniques to assure proper product recommendations
Plan sales strategies to induce long term and quick sell objectives
Follow the 8 steps of the sales call
Complete territory analysis and prepare journey plans to ensure the majority of accounts are called on
Work with Venue Managers to improve business opportunities
Ensure compliance and support of promoted lines during promotional periods
Conduct promotions in key venues in accordance with marketing activity
Complete specified number of bar calls, bar trainings and venue cocktail lists per month
Effectively use the CRM data and other in-house tools to manage productivity effectively
Ensure marketing activity is implemented within specified timeframes
Requirement to work outside of normal business hours where necessary
Your Skills & Experience
Minimum 3+ years sales experience within a relevant industry
Demonstrated on-premise experience (bartender, trade marketing, brand ambassador) highly desirable
Strong, demonstrable understanding of premium spirits and liqueurs market in South Australia
Respected local industry figure with a network of relevant contacts
Demonstrable strategic sales experience with a focused and passionate approach
Ability to develop strong customer relationships in order to meet and exceed sales targets
Excellent time management and planning skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
