East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) provides exceptional palliative and end‑of‑life care for children and families across East Anglia. As the largest organisation of its kind in the region, EACH is now seeking an inspirational Director of Fundraising to join its executive leadership team and lead the next chapter of growth, innovation, and impact.

About the role
As Director of Fundraising, you will lead the strategic planning and delivery of the annual fundraising income plan across all revenue streams (currently £8m). This includes major giving, community and events, corporate, individual giving and trust and foundation teams. You will also lead the completion of a £3.1m capital fundraising programme to expand The Treehouse. This is a critical leadership position, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and a key member of the senior leadership team at EACH.
You’ll be leading a talented team of 25, encouraging, empowering and inspiring colleagues to innovate in ways that help us deliver our objectives. You’ll underpin this income generation experience with detailed forecasting and activity planning.
Responsibilities
- Strategic planning and delivery of the annual fundraising income plan across all revenue streams.
- Lead the completion of a £3.1m capital fundraising programme to expand The Treehouse.
- Manage and develop a team of 25 fundraising professionals.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align fundraising strategy with the charity’s overall objectives.
- Ensure effective forecasting, activity planning and detailed financial oversight.
Who we’re looking for
- Significant people management skills with experience of leading a team of professionals.
- A thorough understanding of fundraising, including identification research, solicitation, pitching, account management and public fundraising techniques, e.g. in‑memorial giving.
- Knowledge of the scope and content of the Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Proven experience of working to and achieving ambitious targets.
- Proven experience of engaging major donors and stewarding high‑value and influential relationships that deliver significant giving.
- Proven experience of delivering fundraising campaigns, appeals and events.
- Experience in managing large budgets (£3m+) with strong financial acumen.
- An understanding of working with families with lived experience of our services.
- Additional experience in working closely with Marketing/Communications teams would be advantageous.
