Key Responsibilities
As a Deployable IT Network Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a deployable IT network and associated ICT infrastructure. This includes performing system administration duties, providing technical support to development, introduction into service, and sustainment of the network.
Additional responsibilities include deployment, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of server and workstation infrastructure. You will also monitor and manage network infrastructure including routers and switches, and apply host-based firewall configuration and management ensuring security of remote devices in a deployed network.
The role involves working closely with other teams to develop solutions resolving issues with data support for Mission Planning Systems, security and accreditation of MPS on IT Networks, identifying and managing program technical risks and issues within support to operations scope.
Requirements
* Current AGSVA security clearance NV1 or higher.
* Minimum 3-5 years experience in IT support roles with at least two years experience providing System Administration services in Australian Federal Government Departments preferably within Defence framework.
* Tertiary or vocational qualifications in Network and Systems Administration / IT Engineering and Architecture including demonstrable experience with supporting Dell hardware MS Windows Server Platforms VMware vSphere ESXi Hypervisor and Management Console Data Backup and Recovery Procedures and Software Mobile Device Management software development environments software and unit testing client and staff engagement relationship and communications skills.
Desirable Skills
* CASG/Defence/Defence Industry experience.
* Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Office 365 Apple iOS SharePoint 365 Intel McAfee EPO Suite Microsoft PowerShell Administration in Team Foundation Server Administrative experience in MS SQL LaTeX document creation software Advanced Office Computing Application knowledge in Excel Word & XML.
