Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. We aim to prepare students for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Core Teacher for Middle School (Years 5–8) at our Drouin campus, commencing in January 2026.
Responsibilities
 * Deliver the curriculum in a manner consistent with the school's guidelines and policies, from a Christian worldview perspective.
 * Foster a safe and caring environment and model the love of Jesus Christ to all students.
 * Maintain a learning environment with positive attitudes toward learning and set challenging and achievable expectations.
 * Assess student performance and provide feedback in an encouraging, confidence-building manner.
 * Plan and carry out daily activities to fulfil the objectives of the school's educational policies and mission statement.
 * Build relationships with students and parents to establish a partnering approach to learning.
Qualifications and characteristics
 * Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
 * Demonstrated commitment to the school's Statement of Faith.
 * Experience teaching upper primary and/or lower secondary levels (desirable).
 * Sound knowledge of teaching from a Christian worldview and the ability to utilise a range of teaching strategies.
 * Ability to build strong partnering relationships and communication with students and parents.
