The Role
As our Estimator – Commercial Hardware, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate, competitive and compliant estimates for commercial door hardware projects across Queensland.
This role suits someone who loves accuracy, problem‑solving, and translating complex information into well‑structured, high‑quality estimates.
Responsibilities
* Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, door schedules and tender documents
* Prepare accurate take‑offs, bills of quantities and detailed cost estimates
* Develop schedules aligned with Australian Standards and building codes
* Liaise with suppliers as well as sales
* Maintain strong product knowledge in order to provide product advice and technical support
What You'll Bring
* 2–5 years estimating experience in commercial hardware, construction or building supplies
* Strong ability to read architectural plans and interpret technical documentation
* Understanding of building codes, fire‑rating requirements and Australian Standards
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
* High attention to detail, analytical thinking and strong numerical skills
* Proficiency with Google Suite and estimating software
* Current Queensland driver's licence
* Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications in estimating, construction or a related field (highly regarded)
