* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project profitability and overseeing external relationships within the local property market to promote company profile and generate new leads.
* They will assist with bid writing, negotiation of contracts, and collaboration with cost management teams in South Australia as required.
* The Senior Cost Manager will work independently, taking responsibility for deliverables, and produce feasibility studies, procurement reports, and final cost plans.
* Key responsibilities include overseeing tendering and procurement processes, including managing prequalification stages, producing tender lists, conducting pre-tender estimates, and compiling contractual documents.
* They will also effectively manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager as necessary.
* Regular progress claim assessments on site and cost checks and valuations on larger projects are essential.
* Additionally, the Senior Cost Manager will produce monthly post-contract cost reports for the Line Manager's presentation to the client.
* They will contribute to value engineering initiatives.

Requirements

* A recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar field is essential.
* Preferable RICS and AIQS accreditation is desirable.
* Sound experience in cost planning for Healthcare, Education, and Commercial projects, with Defence experience and baseline security clearance being a plus.
