Directions Workforce Solutions are seeking a dedicated Safety, Quality and Risk Manager to join our team in this newly created, pivotal role.
Operating on a part-time basis (3 or 4 days per week), you will lead the charge in ensuring our organisation remains at the forefront of WHS, quality assurance, and enterprise risk management.
As a technical subject matter expert, you will partner with the management team to deliver practical and strategic solutions, ensuring our compliance frameworks are not just met, but embedded into our daily culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Safety Leadership: Partner with management and host companies to embed safe work practices and drive a high-performance safety culture.
* Risk Management: Identify potential threats, manage the Enterprise Risk Register, and develop robust mitigation strategies.
* Compliance & Auditing: Lead internal audits and hazard assessments to maintain GTO National Standards, ISO Accreditation, and DISP membership.
* Quality Assurance: Utilise data, trends, and insights to drive continuous improvement across all services and systems.
* Policy Governance: Provide oversight and regular updates for all organisational policies and procedures.
* Security: Act as the ICT Security Officer, proactively alerting stakeholders to security risks
What You Bring
* Industry Experience: 3+ years in a similar role within high-risk industries (e.g., Mining, Construction, Defence, or Manufacturing).
* Technical Expertise: Proven experience developing policies, using risk assessment methodologies, and conducting internal audits.
* Sector Knowledge: Experience within a Group Training Organisation (GTO) or Labour Hire environment is highly regarded.
* Legislative Fluency: A deep understanding of the legislative frameworks and standards relevant to the GTO and Labour Hire sectors.
* Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Safety, Risk, or a related professional field is highly regarded.
