About us:
Herberton Hospital is a 38-bed rural hospital providing patient centred palliative care, aged and respite care, as well as high, low, and complex dementia treatment. Inpatient services are well integrated with the primary health services provided by Atherton Community and Allied Health Services. Herberton Hospital also provides a nurse led outpatient.
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
About you:
In your new role you will......
* Assist in resolution of day-to-day operational issues, review work practices, and manage quality activities by maintaining high professional work standards and seeking ongoing ways for improvement.
* Work both autonomously and as a member of a team, ability to cope in a high-volume environment, ability to prioritise, consistently meet deadlines and adapt to change using initiative, organisation and planning, time management and problem-solving skills.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will.....
* Coordinate the recruitment and appointment process for all positions line managed by the Herberton Hospital DON/FM, including liaising with internal/external departments/organisations.
* Ensure the coordination and management of the administrative duties within the team are undertaken in a proactive and flexible manner.
* Foster team spirit and build and maintain cooperative relationships and can adapt to change, contribute to quality improvement activities, and participate in a multidisciplinary work environment to deliver effective customer services.
* Perform secretariat functions for relevant meetings (clinical, non-clinical).
* Ensure accurate record keeping for all Education programs and sessions.
