External Security Vetting Quality Assurance Specialist
The Opportunity
You'll conduct quality assurance across security clearance cases, ranging from Baseline to NV2, and implement and improve the organization's quality assurance processes. This involves hands-on support for complex cases, identifying trends in quality and performance, and providing coaching, training and mentoring for Vetting Analysts.
Roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly and/or with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct ongoing QA for allocated cases, aligning to quality expectations and procedures/policies.
* Help manage the QA case queue, maintain quality assurance policies and procedures, and provide inputs into quality measurement and reporting.
* Facilitate and deliver training / updates / coaching based on identified trends and from QA, and support a continuous development program for current/experienced vetting analysts.
* Provide hands-on support for complex cases using experience and knowledge to enable vetting analysts to complete the case.
* Prepare and present reports on training outcomes, quality metrics (based on agreed KPIs), and improvement recommendations to senior management.
* Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, quality and performance trends to inform training methods and focus.
What We Look For
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A minimum Negative Vetting Level 1, with the opportunity to upgrade to Negative Vetting 2 as required.
* Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting).
* Vetting and QA experience (essential) in Government or similar high-security environments.
Ideally, you'll also have skills and attributes below but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes.
* Training: Experience with on-the-job training and upskilling new vetting analysts with the processes, skills, systems and requirements to be a best-in-class vetter.
* Attention to Detail: Meticulous scrutiny of extensive data and identification of potential security risks.
* Quality Assurance: Firm commitment to uphold high-quality standards in vetting processes and documentation, strictly adhering to policies.
