Nurse Educator - Management of Aggression Training (MOAT)

Opportunity: Fixed Term Full-Time contract for 12 months with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency. Wecurrently have one FTE available. This is a WA Health opportunity listing from Western Australia Government.

We are seeking a Nurse Educator MOAT to join our team. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the development, facilitation, implementation and evaluation of educational, professional development programs/resources and strategies for nursing and related services. Areas of accountability will include leadership, development, implementation and review of quality and safety initiatives, the setting of clinical standards, policy development and change management. The Nurse Educator will work in collaboration with colleagues and the Nursing Director and will practice within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Educator MOAT will:

* Lead, develop, implement and evaluate educational and professional development programs/resources for nursing and related services.
* Facilitate and support initiatives that promote quality and safety in patient care.
* Develop and review clinical standards, policies and change management processes.
* Collaborate with colleagues and the Nursing Director; operate within the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Areas of accountability include leadership, development, implementation and review of quality and safety initiatives, the setting of clinical standards, policy development and change management.

Qualifications and requirements

* Current nursing registration and eligibility to practice in Western Australia.
* Experience in education, professional development and MOAT or related aggression management training is preferred.
* Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and engage in change management.
* Commitment to patient-centred care and safety.
