Brunel is seeking a skilled Process Engineer for a 3-month FIFO contract with a background in metallurgy to join a leading mining operation on a site-based, short-term contract.
Job Summary
This role is critical in supporting the day-to-day performance of the plant, driving process efficiency, and ensuring production targets are met.
About This Role
* Provide technical support across iron ore processing circuits
* Monitor and analyse plant performance to identify opportunities for optimisation
* Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues
* Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Prepare reports and contribute to metallurgical investigations and test work
Requirements
* Previous experience in a process engineering/metallurgist role within the iron ore sector
* Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
* Strong knowledge of mineral processing and plant operations
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communicator with a team-oriented approach
* Must be available to start immediately
* Australian residency is essential
