Diggermate Canberra is looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Hand to join our growing team. We specialise in mini excavator hire and pride ourselves on providing well-maintained equipment and great customer service.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with machinery and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
About the Role
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our workshop, including:
* Maintenance and servicing of mini excavators and attachments
* Preparing equipment for hire (cleaning, checking, basic repairs)
* Assisting with machine operation and yard organisation
* Light metal fabrication and basic welding tasks
* General workshop duties
What We're Looking For
* Experience in machine operation and maintenance (essential)
* Basic metal fabrication / welding skills
* Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving ability
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on environment
* Valid driver's licence (essential)
Work Conditions
* Early morning starts required
* Occasional weekend work as needed
* Full-time / casual position (flexible depending on candidate)
