Job description
Based in Adelaide the mission for this global role supports Oktal Sydac’s four (4) sites to ensure short and long-term business performance meets target and creates value for our customers. Responsibility for Quality processes, managing the testing organisation and to delivery high quality, defect-free simulation projects to the customer. Further responsibilities include taking ownership, maintenance and development of the Sydac Quality Management System and Processes ensuring that processes are aligned with ISO 9001 requirements.
1. Engage with senior stakeholders across the group’s Corporate Functions (Finance, Legal, IT, Marketing etc) as their QMS Business Partner and support adhoc requests and projects
2. Own and initiate reporting to deliver cost efficiencies that encourage continuous improvement
3. Partner functional heads to deliver continuous improvements globally
4. Support strategic initiatives with robust analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
5. Prioritise work and manage the test team
6. Based in Adelaide the role manages four (4) global sites and will require periodic travel
Profile
Qualifications & Experience
7. Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or Science
8. Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in a similar global role
9. Ability to influence through initiative, courage and rational argument
10. Ability to manage (& work as part of) a team
11. Planning & Organisational skills
12. Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Functional/ Technical Skills & Competencies
13. Software development background
14. Demonstrated project management success
15. Strong software engineering and familiar with the SEI CMMI reference system, Fagan reviews, software quality KPIs
16. Proven track record implementing and practicing continuous integration, Test Driven Development (TDD)
17. Tools: Sound experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence at a minimum), Git
18. Continuous improvement of business processes and procedures in line with best practice systems
19. Previous QMS process ownership and improvement experience
