The Role:
Location: Metro Adelaide SA
Duration: 48-month full time Apprenticeship
As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work within private industry across residential sites. Anything from home renovations, to building new homes, you will gain the skills and knowledge of a well-rounded carpenter to kickstart your trades future.
This role will require you to travel between work sites. Travel allowance may be claimable (conditions apply).
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
* Build floors, wall frames and roofs
* Cut, shape and fit wood and building materials
* Read and interpret plans
* Handle and move timber materials
* Use measurements to make accurate cuts and adjustments
* Handle a variety of hand and power tools
About You:
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will need:
* Genuine interest in carpentry
* Love being hands-on and working outdoors
* Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision
* Demonstrated attention to detail
* Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
* Strong track record of being punctual, reliable, and hardworking
Role Requirements:
* Driver's licence with reliable vehicle
* Be willing to complete a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol screen
* Previous on-site carpentry or labouring experience (desirable)
* Completed a Certificate II in Construction Pathways or similar (desirable)
