CAPS Australia, a division of the global powerhouse Ingersoll Rand, is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Parts Interpreter to join our Mackay team. With a proud history dating back to 1980 and a national footprint of ten branches, CAPS is a trusted name in delivering innovative compressed air and power generation solutions to industrial and manufacturing clients across Australia.
About the Role
This customer-facing role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving technical challenges. You'll manage spare parts enquiries, sales, and inventory coordination for compressed air equipment and associated products, ensuring our customers receive accurate, timely, and professional support.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle parts enquiries via phone, counter, web, and email, including preparing and managing quotations.
* Manage stock allocation, prioritise distribution, and coordinate backorders with inventory and suppliers.
* Weekly invoices raised & summitted
* Working closely with our Storeperson
* Process over-the-counter and phone sales, including EFTPOS transactions and documentation.
* Operate OEM databases to provide technical information and submit stock variation requests.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure integrity of stock transactions.
* Liaise with inventory teams to ensure stock levels meet customer demand.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements.
* Attend toolbox meetings, training programs, and other branch activities as required.
