The Opportunity
Statewide Apprenticeships is seeking a motivated individual to undertake a full-time apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with a well-regarded host business located in Findon and Greenfields. This is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your mechanical career while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
This full-time role (minimum 38 hours per week) will be paid under the relevant award, unless otherwise advised. Out-of-trade Light Vehicle Mechanics are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You'll Learn
* Routine servicing and maintenance of light vehicles (e.g. oil changes, battery checks, replacing parts)
* Diagnostic inspections of brake systems, steering, transmissions, and engines
* Lubrication, safety checks, and mechanical repairs
* Tyre fitting and wheel balancing procedures
* Following inspection checklists and working to industry standards
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Is a recent school leaver or keen to start a mechanical career
* Has a strong interest in repairing and servicing vehicles
* Is physically fit, reliable and has great mechanical aptitude
* Can pass a drug and alcohol screening and is willing to obtain a police check
* Holds a current driver's licence and has reliable transport
* Is committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship
