About us

Buddy Advisory is pleased to be partnering with ERIAS, a boutique strategic environmental and social impact assessment consultancy specialising in complex project approvals across the renewable energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors. ERIAS works in challenging environments that demand high technical capability, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, can-do approach.

As ERIAS' project portfolio continues to grow in scale and complexity, they are seeking a Senior Social Consultant to join the team. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys owning complex SIA projects, leading technical delivery, mentoring junior consultants, and building trusted, long-term client relationships.

What you'll be doing

* Acting as Project Manager or technical lead on SIA projects
* Providing strategic advice, regulatory guidance, and high-quality technical input
* Liaising directly with clients, regulators, subconsultants, and stakeholders
* Coordinating and participating in fieldwork programs
* Identifying risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies
* Leading or contributing to the preparation, review and delivery of reports, proposals, and technical documentation
* Managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and quality assurance
* Mentoring and supporting junior team members in their technical and professional development
* Supporting business development activities, including maintaining client relationships and identifying opportunities in new and existing markets
* Contributing to broader company initiatives such as systems and process improvements
* Ensuring compliance with all statutory and company safety requirements

What we're looking for

* Relevant experience as a social consultant with strong experience in social impact assessment and project delivery
* Bachelor's degree in social science, science, engineering or related discipline
* Graduate studies in specialist discipline and relevant technical training an advantage
* Proven ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision
* Strong client relationship skills and stakeholder engagement capability
* Excellent written communication and document preparation skills
* Ability to lead, mentor and support junior staff
* Familiarity with MS Office and general project management tools
* Willingness to participate in fieldwork in various locations (international and local)
* Current driver's licence desirable

Who you are

You thrive in environments where projects are complex, timelines are challenging, and high-quality work matters. You bring initiative, adaptability, and a positive, pragmatic approach to problem solving.

You're comfortable taking ownership, stepping into leadership roles, and contributing to both technical excellence and team culture.

Why ERIAS?

* Work on some of the most interesting social impact projects in Australia and the Pacific
* Be part of a close-knit, highly skilled team with real opportunities to influence project and business outcomes
* Flexible working and an environment that values initiative, collaboration and professional growth
* The chance to make a tangible impact across the renewable energy, resources and infrastructure sectors

If you're looking to step into a senior consulting role where your expertise, judgement and leadership are genuinely valued, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now. Application close 5pm, Monday March 2.
