Electrical Automation & Controls Engineer
We are an electrical and process engineering company specialising in the Beverage, Food and the Dairy industry. Our clients are the market leaders in their chosen sector.
This role will see you as an Electrical Automation Engineer or Mechatronics Engineer working on beverage, dairy, brewing and liquid processing projects. You will be involved in the automation design, layout, selection of equipment, etc and project management. Previous experience in the beverage, dairy, brewing and liquid processing industry is essential; however we will also consider candidates from similar industries. It is necessary that you have experience in liquid process design that includes P&ID; understanding and the selection of automation components. Project management and site experience is required. We are seeking an enthusiastic, agile engineer who is able to work with a small team of engineers on projects for our clients.
High level of PLC SCADA and Database programming is essential that includes the following
- Rockwell Automation, Studio 5000 and legacy products.
- Siemens TIA, other PLC brands considered an advantage.
- SCADA programming, long term logging, trending, alerts, remote monitoring & notification systems.
- Industrial control system electrical design, Motor Control, VSD programming and integration.
- Excellent fault finding and rational reasoning. Hands-on diagnosis.
- Technical IT abilities on Windows based operating systems, including industrial networking.
- Capable of supporting legacy control systems and components.
To be successful the applicant must have
- A degree in Automation, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or an Electrical trade certification with related automation post trade studies and achievements
- Dedicated to good documentation.
- Interpersonal and organisational skills
- Motivated self-starter, often autonomous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Develop and encourage trusting relationships with the customer base and inhouse team.
- A positive can-do attitude with pride in your work
