Job Title: Mixed Farming Systems Specialist
Location: Queensland, Australia
To succeed in this challenging role as a Mixed Farming Systems Specialist, you will need to have a strong understanding of agribusiness and the complex relationships between farming systems and environmental factors.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in project management and business development, with experience working in the mixed farming sector. They will also possess knowledge of carbon farming, the ACCU Scheme, and production systems and environmental constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with growers, advisors, and other stakeholders in the mixed farming sector
* Provide key support to our Soil Carbon program through effective communication and coordination with growers and industry partners
* Advocate for practical and science-based carbon projects that can produce high-integrity carbon credits
Requirements:
* Tertiary education in Agribusiness, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, Soil Science, Agro-ecology, or equivalent
* Additional qualifications or experience in Project Management (or similar) or Business Development/Business Administration highly valued
* Driver's License with 4WD experience and first aid training
