The role of the Contracts Administrator supports project delivery by managing contractual obligations and ensuring compliance across procurement, contracts, and project documentation. You will work closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and Administer Contracts: Prepare, review, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and variations.
* Manage Procurement Processes: Manage procurement processes including issuing tenders, evaluating bids, and preparing contracts.
* Maintain Accurate Contract Records: Maintain accurate contract records and documentation throughout project lifecycles.
* Liaise with Contractors and Suppliers: Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
* Assist in Cost Reports and Project Budgets: Assist in preparing cost reports, progress claims, and project budgets.
* Support Dispute Resolution: Support dispute resolution and provide advice on contractual risks and obligations.
* Collaborate with the Project Team: Collaborate with the project team to ensure successful delivery of projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field is essential. 2+ years' experience as a Contracts Administrator (property development or construction industry preferred) is required. Strong understanding of contract law, procurement, and construction contracts is necessary. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are also required. High attention to detail with strong organisational and analytical skills is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project management software is required.
