Accounts Payable Officer

Modus Projects is a rapidly expanding, national leader in facilities maintenance, building, project management, and fit-out construction. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to provide essential support and exceptional service to our trade and office teams, helping us deliver high-quality solutions across the business.
About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will maintain efficient and accurate financial operations, ensure seamless transactions, and foster strong stakeholder relationships. This is a temporary contract with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle incoming phone calls and assist with Finance department inquiries.
* Manage accounts inbox, process supplier invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and resolve discrepancies.
* Enter supplier invoices into TSM and prepare job cards for Accounts Receivable, complete credit applications.
* Assist with month-end duties, including preparing supplier pay runs and ensuring correct bank details in MYOB.
* Ensure accuracy of supplier profiles in TSM and MYOB, manage filing/archiving, and provide general administrative support.
Qualifications
* 2+ years' experience in Accounts Payable.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A proactive and collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Excel.
Additional Responsibilities
* Reach out to clients via phone to discuss their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
* Collaborate across departments to resolve client issues and deliver high-quality service.
* Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
