what duties can you expect to do?
* Oversee the care and presentation of a high-profile, award-winning horticultural site..
* Operate a variety of modern equipment and tools, including zero-turn mowers, brush cutters, blowers, and other machinery.
* Carry out routine gardening tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, fertilising, and pest/disease control.
* Plan and manage daily work schedules, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
* Complete and submit site paperwork including pre-start checks, daily reports, Take 5 safety checks, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
* Communicate with clients on-site to ensure satisfaction and represent the company professionally.
* Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems, adjusting schedules and repairing faults as needed.
* Monitor plant health and soil conditions, performing soil testing and applying appropriate treatments.
* Assist with seasonal planting and design implementation to keep the site visually appealing year-round.
* Identify and report site improvement opportunities or issues that require attention.
* Ensure all team members follow Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and procedures.
* Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of quality and safety across the site.
* Assist with training and mentoring junior staff to build team capability.
What will you need?
* Driver's licence and own transport. Or ability to Get to site.
* National Police Check
* Working with Children Check
* Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens (Highly desirable)
