Job Overview
The role of this position is to coordinate and complete all shipment activities, including receipt of customer bookings, documentation requirements, and related local and international transportation.
This specialist will lead the planning and execution of seasonal protocols, liaising with origin offices, customs brokers, and shipping lines to ensure compliance and timely cargo movement.
Key responsibilities include ensuring that relevant quality metrics are met or exceeded on a consistent basis, managing handovers, overseeing billing activities, and implementing necessary regulatory procedures relating to commodities and locations for shipments.
Strong relationships with carriers and shipping lines will be built and maintained to streamline import operations, resolve issues, and optimise service delivery. This specialist will also resolve daily delivery issues and implement best practices to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Furthermore, they will proactively oversee customer shipments to ensure satisfaction at every touchpoint, fostering loyalty and driving repeat business.
