Job Overview
The Land Access and Statutory Approvals Specialist will report to the Capability & Performance Manager – LASE and provide specialist technical support and advice to nbn stakeholders in the Australian Capital Territory. The role involves developing relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies and consultancies, and collaborating with nbn Delivery Partners and internal teams to obtain and manage statutory approvals supporting land access activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and manage statutory approvals and exemptions for land access projects.
- Minimise risks and engage specialist consultants to facilitate a smooth approval pathway.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and maintain legislative compliance for construction programs.
- Provide technical input into key documentation and processes for the LASE team.
- Foster relationships with ACT government stakeholders, internal customers, and the LASE team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant professional experience managing statutory approvals, primarily in heritage or environmental areas, to facilitate build activities.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate regulatory requirements and work closely with Delivery Partners.
- Expertise in working with ACT government agencies on heritage and environment approvals and interpreting legislative frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and excellent interpersonal, research, written, and oral communication skills.
Eligibility
